| This beautiful custom helmet was painted for Brian Parriott. He won 3rd place in the Monterey Challenge at Laguna Seca in 2010. He's pictured below on the #46 Aprillia, and he's on the podium next to that. The helmet took 6 1/2 hours to paint. The Spanish flag on the left side was completely painted by hand with a Double Zero brush. The flag was in honor of Brian's wife. Brian rides an Aprillia, so notice the lion heads at the front of the chin bar? The Aprillia is an Italian company, so the Italian flag was center stage in the helmet design. Since Brian is an Italian/American, the flags serve as double duty for the art. An automotive clearcoat finish will protect it for the rest of the life of the helmet. |
