| All of my custom helmet paint is done by hand. I ask for a plain colored helmet to begin with. I hand sand all of them with 600 grit wet/dry sand paper to get them started. I will typically mask off an entire helmet and draw on the graphics all by hand. All of my designs are cut with a fresh razor blade, again, by hand. I don't use stickers, for any of my art. I hand cut all of my own stencils. I've been doing helmet paint now for 15 years and I was taught by the legendary paint engineer, Keith Strong. With that being said, your helmet has been painted with some of the most modern techniques there are. I use 3 different types of airbrushes when needed, as well as hand paint with a normal brush. When you get a helmet from Dana, you are truly getting a one off piece of art. My full face helmets start at $850.00. Expensive? Yes. High tech? Yes. One of a kind? Yes. |
