| "John Deacon" This painting is a big one. It's a 36''x48'' acrylic and oil on canvas. This painting was a gift to my husband. Donald is a GIGANTIC fan of the Paris Dakar Race Rally and loved the way John rode. I started the painting off in acrylics and just could find much motivation to work on him. At the prodding of my hubby and my friend Alan Jones, they got me to fall in love with a different take on the painting. I changed mediums and finished this one in oil. There's magic in them paints, I tell ya. Something about the linseed oil's smell, well, it makes me want to paint! The gift was finally finished in March of 2010 and debuted at the 2010 Infineon Raceway Art Show. No prints are available and Donald owns the original. |
